LARGEST BEACH TOURNAMENT
ON THE ISLAND SEPTEMBER 4TH-5TH LABOUR DAY WEEKEND!
Saturday, Sept 4th is Co-ed 3's
Sunday, Sept 5th is Men's or Women's Doubles!
This tournament has been running annually for over 20 years and with new sponsors, hot weather, and more teams this year's event will be huge!!!
ALL levels of play welcoming from novice to elite players! Come out to socialize, get some rays, and play some volleyball in the largest sand tournament around. Located at Parksville main beach.
Friday, Sept 3rd evening is registration at Rod N Gun Pub in Parksville. BBQ and music! Come to meet some of the competition and to hang out with a great crowd enjoying some BBQ at the pub specially made for Volleyballers!
$50/person : Your $50 registration fee includes a burger and a beer at the registration BBQ on Friday night at the Rod & Gun (7pm-9pm), one day of play, lunch on Saturday, a t-shirt, and entrance to the social on Saturday night.
$30/person for playing one day Sunday in either Men's or Women's Doubles.

Annual in memory of "Chris Galenzoski Open" tournament: August 21st, 2010.
This tournament will be running annually in memory of Chris Galenzoski (1976-2002) who passed away due to cancer.
For those who have had an opportunity to meet and play against him I am requesting that you provide as many stories, pictures, or just comments so the people that haven't had the privelege to meet him can get a good idea of who he is!
As for my experiences, I have had the privelege to play with Chris and won some beach tournaments. We missed each other in our varsity years at VIU, but I wish I had the chance to compete with him there because I know it would have been a lot of fun and I would've learned a lot from him! Even though, I was a shorter player and was not at the same level of skill as Chris he was kind enough to team up with me and to teach what he could.
I know Chris had influenced a lot of people positively on and off the courts so this event is in memory of Chris, as well as, for those who have suffered from cancer directly/indirectly.
This year, the 1st Annual "Chris Galenzoski Open" will be held at Bowen Park sand courts for Men's or Women's doubles! Register with a partner or if you need some assistance finding someone let us know and we'll do our best!

NEW to Vancouver Island! VIVball will be launching for Summer 2010 season with sand and grass Tournaments in various cities throughout the Island. Grass leagues will be starting the first week of July so click on Leagues to get more details!

Our goal is to provide fun volleyball events for both participants and spectators! We cater from novice to elite volleyballers so don't be shy and come out to learn some new skills. You will also have a chance to watch and/or compete with some of the best in BC! Many players from the Island have advanced on to play varsity ball on College, University, and National teams.
Summer is fast approaching so pass the word to get your friends together, to get some exercise, and to have some fun! We hope to see you soon on the courts and please, don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions and/or concerns about what we have to offer!
